Drake headlined the Wireless Festival in 2025 for the second night, delivering a mix of worldwide hits, unique genre twists, and first-time live performances. The show on July 12 landed in the middle of his three-night stretch in London drawing notice with its surprising guest lineup and diverse song choices.

Drake started the night with Yeat delivering the first live rendition of their song “IDGAF.” This performance kicked things off with an energetic vibe. His set named Drake & the Mandem highlighted talent from the UK. Big names like Skepta, Central Cee, Dave, Fakemink, and Headie One made appearances. These collaborations showed Drake’s connection to UK rap, as they performed several popular tracks together. Some standout songs included “Sprinter” by Central Cee and Dave, and Skepta’s “Shutdown.”

Drake’s second night at Wireless Festival drew a wide range of reactions online, with some users expressing disappointment over the performance’s structure.

"HE LITERALLY PERFORMED MAX THREE OF HIS OWN SONGS ON HIS OWN WITH MINIMUM EFFORT. WORST PERFORMANCE EVER AND We NEED OUR MONEY BACK," an X user wrote.

"UK Drake stans never fail to amaze me," another commented.

"Drake brought out Vanessa Carlton? Like, “you know I’d walk a-thousand-miles” Vanessa Carlton," one user reacted.

Some posts also commented on Drake’s close ties to UK rap, viewing his deep involvement with the scene as overly calculated. Comparisons to other major artists like Kendrick Lamar emerged as well, with fans anticipating future performances and suggesting Lamar’s would ultimately surpass Drake’s.

"Actually so embarrassing how much he begs off the UK and pages like yours lap it up," another wrote.

"Not Greatest performance yet until Kendrick Lamar does he's. We all know Dot will win again again and again," another commented.

Drake blends genres and global talent on second night of wireless festival

Drake’s mix of different music styles stood out. Vanessa Carlton joined the show and sang her hit “A Thousand Miles” from the early 2000s. The pop song brought a nostalgic moment to a night centered around hip-hop. More artists came on stage as the night went on.

Latto, Sexyy Red, and 21 Savage each performed songs from their own hits. Drake and 21 Savage teamed up to do their tracks “Knife Talk” and “Rich Flex,” while Sexyy Red performed a mash-up that included “Rich Baby Daddy.”
PARTYNEXTDOOR joined Drake on stage again to sing “SOMEBODY LOVES ME.” This happened after PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first-night festival appearance. The setlist also had songs fans love like “God’s Plan,” “Nonstop,” and “Know Yourself.”

Drake also performed “What Did I Miss?” live for the first time. The song will be on Iceman, his ninth studio album coming soon.

This part of Drake’s live shows connects to promoting Iceman, his first solo album after For All the Dogs. Drake has started a livestream series with the Iceman name and has shared sneak peeks and special content using other social platforms. As a bigger push to promote the album, a few streamers were brought to the Wireless Festival.

Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel will team up with Drake during the last night of the Wireless Festival bringing an international touch to the three-night event. Drake’s performance combines UK rap, collaborations from North America, and surprise guest spots. His set highlights his wide reach in music and growing partnerships with artists from around the world.
