When Ariana Madix was publicly scorned on Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, she spent little time crying over her unfaithful ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and traitorous friend Raquel Leviss. Instead, she instantly snapped into revenge mode. The best revenge against a man who always wanted to be famous? Take over every spotlight possible. Madix has already filmed a Lifetime movie and raked in the sponsorship deals — now she’ll be labeled a bona fide “star” as a contestant on Season 32 of Dancing With the Stars.
Madix and Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough announced the news with an Instagram reel set at Madix’s soon-to-open sandwich shop, Something About Her. Madix is the first celebrity revealed to be joining the cast this season, which is returning to ABC after a brief one-season stint streaming exclusively on Disney+. This will be the first season of the series to film since longtime judge and ballroom dancing legend Len Goodman’s death in April 2023.
Vanderpump Rules started filming its 11th season last week, and while Bravo hasn’t officially announced which cast members are returning, a first look released on the network’s Instagram showed a smiling Madix front and center. It’s likely that at least the beginnings of her Dancing With the Stars training will be captured for the series, hopefully with more support shown from her castmates than her former boss Lisa Vanderpump received — her short Dancing With the Stars run was the source of many jokes on Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Whether or not Madix has any skills as a ballroom dancer remains to be seen, but if the outpouring of support post-“Scandoval” is any indication, she’ll have no trouble staying in the competition for a while based on votes alone. And it’s safe to say that none of her numbers will be set to any songs by Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras.
