Yellowstone prequel 1932 has been renamed 1923, moving the series even further back in time, Variety reported on Monday.

The prequel series will focus on two generations of the Dutton family, with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford in key roles. Instead of taking place during the Great Depression, as originally planned, the drama will now be set during a time of historic drought, prohibition, lawlessness, and cattle theft during Montana's great depression, which came a decade before the nation-wide collapse.

1923 serves as a follow-up to yet another Yellowstone prequel, 1883, which followed the Dutton family as they moved to Montana.

1923 premieres in December on Paramount+.
