Nicki Minaj goes on X rant: Rapper blasts Jay-Z, Megan Thee Stallion, and ROC CEO

Jay-Z is in the hot seat once more, and this time it's because of Nicki Minaj's fans on X. The fuss, which comes from the old story about who owns TIDAL, is back with new claims that the rap star still has to pay Minaj money and apologize for her early work with the music stream site.

As the talk heats up on social media, Nicki Minaj has added fuel to the fire, taking jabs at Jay-Z and making jokes about the court issues he faces with Megan Thee Stallion.

In 2015, Jay-Z jumped into the fight of music streaming with a big step as he bought TIDAL for about $56 million.

He didn't just start another music service; he wanted to change the game by giving the artists more power and part-ownership. To start, he got a strong group of 15 top artists, stars like Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, J. Cole, and Madonna were in this team.

Nicki Minaj's Instagram lockout sparks new questions amid high-profile clashes

Recently, Nicki Minaj revealed to her fans that she lost access to her Instagram account. This disclosure comes after her rant on Megan Thee Stallion, Jay-Z, and Roc Nation executive Desirae Perez, whom she accused of backstage maneuvers against her. She posted on her X account:

"Barbz it looks like I’ve been locked out of my Instagram."

Barbz renew calls for Jay-Z to settle alleged Tidal Payouts to Nicki Minaj

Back when Tidal first came to the scene, some big-name singers got a small part of the firm if they added their songs only there and helped make it more popular. In 2021, Jay-Z gave most of Tidal to Jack Dorsey's Square for $302 million, and talk began that not everyone got the money they were promised. This week, Nicki Minaj's loyal fans, the Barbz, made a big noise again with posts that went all over, calling for Jay-Z to pay up.

Comments such as "Jay-Z owes Minaj cash & sorry" and "Jay-Z should have given Nicki Minaj her share of the Tidal deal" moved quickly through social media. Minaj kept her words unclear, answering with some laughs and sad faces.

Recently, Nicki Minaj posted on X:

"I'm going to use some of the money #JayZ owes me to send some of my Barbz to college, pay their school fees & student loans via my #StudentOfTheGame charity."

Rumors, rants, and royalties fuel Nicki Minaj's ongoing rift with Jay-Z

The strains between Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z apparently precede the dispute over royalties due to streaming services. She went directly after Roc Nation and its CEO, Desiree Perez, in a set of posts on X earlier this year.

This continued to spiral out of control when one of her tightest collaborators, Lil Wayne, was put out of the spotlight at the Super Bowl halftime show, in the place of Jay-Z-led Kendrick Lamar, a decision many attribute to Jay-Z and the NFL deal.

Furthermore, there are also allegations that she has not been given the full sum of her stake in the sale of TIDAL in 2021; she reportedly owned 3% which would have been worth over $9 million, but supposedly has only been given a fraction of that.

Although she has not made any legal move yet, the silence of Jay-Z's camp and the rather indirect posts of Minaj have continuously caused speculation that this Mexican standoff is not done yet.
