Amid a never-ending give-and-take that fans call a quiet fight, HasanAbi, aka Hasan Piker, has once more made a sharp hit at ContraPoints, making the low heat grow between the two known leftist minds. While they have not said they're in an open word fight, Hasan's new sharp word shows the hidden battle in how they deal with politics and online talk, with Natalie Wynn making smooth video talks and Hasan giving quick thoughts live.

The tension erupted again in detail when Hasan Piker appeared to imply ContraPoints in one of his videos after she had clarified her stand on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Hasan didn't name her but made his point clear. He said if someone watches kids suffer in Gaza for almost two years and still talks about their own feelings, they should stay quiet.

    In his words:

"if you are like me, a spoiled child of america, and your focus after 20 months of live-streamed holocaust of children in gaza is still on your personal feelings instead of unconditional support to the victims of genocide, there is more honor in continuing to stay quiet."

Hasan doubles down on His critique of ContraPoints

One of the tweets that followed only added fuel to the already circulating controversy.

Hasan also did not name Natalie Wynn, but simply wrote that in case one can get themselves out of the way and actually be in solidarity with the emancipation of Palestine, he and many others would be willing to always open their arms to these people.

He compared this with the paths that most liberal Zionists have taken, which he says have been drifting towards extreme right-wing territory, becoming entirely anti-Zionist, or learning to "read the room" and keep their mouths shut when they can say nothing constructive.

    In his words:

"on the other hand if you get over yourself and support palestinian emancipation i & many others will always welcome you with open arms. most of the liberal zionists either turned into kahanist sickos, antizionists or at least can read the f*cking room better and don’t speak on it"

Most of the people who follow both creators saw this statement as a clear shot at ContraPoints' recent attempt to clarify her stance on the conflict in Israel and Palestine, a step that a select few critics viewed as being too concerned with her own opinion than the plight of Gaza.

Differences in tone and style have now become a broader argument regarding solidarity, privilege, and how to take a stand when the stakes are painfully real as the conversation trickles through their overlapping networks.
