Who is Maxie Jones on General Hospital? A closer look at her character and storyline

On the daytime soap opera General Hospital, Maxie Jones is a central character currently being portrayed by Nicole Paggi, in the absence of Kristen Storms. She is the daughter of Frisco Jones and Felicia Scorpio Jones. She has been a part of several major storylines, as she is from the Jones Family. The Jones Family is one of the major families of the fictional town of Port Charles. 

Maxie was first introduced in the year 1990 by twins Chelsey & Kahley Cuff. However, actress Kristen Jones is the most well-known actress as Maxie, since she has been portraying the role since 2005, nearly two decades now. Anyhow, in her absence, Nicole Paggi is often seen taking over the role from Kristen.

Maxie Jones is a fictional character on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. Her character has been in the show since 1990. Though she is the daughter of Frisco Jones and Felicia Scorpio Jones, she was raised by her stepfather, Mac Scorpio. Her life has been marked with challenges from a young age. 

At a very young age, she was diagnosed with Kawasaki, a terminal disease, which could only be cured after a heart transplant surgery. However, with the tragic loss of her cousin B.J., she got her heart and her life back. 

Further on General Hospital, as she grew up, she also became romantically involved with a few central figures. However, her most controversial role was her involvement with Lucky Spencer and manipulating him with a fake pregnancy. Anyhow, later, one of her major romantic arcs was seen with Nathan West, the two also got married and had a son together named James. However, Nthan’s death in the line of duty made things complicated and left her heartbroken. 

In the current story arc of the daytime soap opera General Hospital, she is co-COO of Deception and is frequently seen with characters like Brook Lynn Quatermaine working on the brand. She recently helped Michael Corinthos prepare for the christening ceremony of her daughter Daisy. 

Apart from that, she has been caught up in the ongoing drama between Brook Lynn and Lulu. When she visited BLQ to she learnt that Sonny Corinthos has been using his dirty money to invest in Deception, she immediately asked BLQ to report this to the authorities. However, in the middle of their conversation, it was also revealed that BLQ requested a file on Dr. Britt, which revealed that although Rocco is biologically Lulu’s son, he was actually carried and given birth to by Britt.  

The file made its way to Rocco, who was shocked to learn this about his past, and when he confronted his parents, Dante and Lulu, things got complicated. Though BLQ expressed to Maxie, she never meant to give the file to Rocco or reveal this. Anyhow, Maxie is currently trying to resolve the issue as both Lulu and Brook are onto each other for ruining the relationship with their respective sons, Rocco and Gio.
