Twitch streamer Chrispymate struck by lightning on livestream

A Twitch streamer and YouTuber Chrispymate was struck by lightning during a live stream. On July 19, the American streamer began a gameplay live stream when a few minutes into it, a flash appeared for a second and Chrispymate moved sharply and threw his headphones and ran.

A minute later, Chrispymate arrived back into the frame and said,

“Bro, I just got struck by lightning.”

Out of breath and stunned, the streamer added,

“I’m going to stop stream. Oh, dude, f**k.”

While he seemed intensely shocked, Chrispymate began to regain his senses and explained what happened. He said,

“So I was sitting in here, I had my earbuds in. A big thing of lightning hit and like my ears, like I felt lightning go through my earbuds. And I bolted up the stairs and oh my god, dude, what the f**k.”

While still streaming on Twitch, Chrispymate looked at the bright side, and added,

“I am not dead, so it’s fine. But you know how crazy it would be if you guys just witnessed my death on stream.”

Stroking his chest, Chrispymate shared his current state with his viewers and continued,

“My heart is pounding right now…I am home alone right now, it’s just me. Oh dude, my f**king head hurts. That sucks.”

Recovering from the initial shock of the incident, Chrispymate laughed and addressed his viewers and said,

“Everybody who is in here right now, thank you for existing. We will play this game when it’s not so, outside being destructive. I hope you enjoyed the stream tonight, I hope you enjoyed the spooks. We’ll be back. I think I’m going to wait till the storm dies down and then I might get back on the computer. So maybe we’ll play more games in a little bit. For now, that f**ked me up so bad. That was such close lightning strike, it happened like right behind me.”

Adding a light-heartedness to the entire incident, the streamer said,

“That could be my intro…What did it look like to you guys, did you see the bolt in my room?…I’m going to go see what that looks like in a little bit.”

Posting the clip from his live stream when he was struck by lightning on X, Chrispymate jokingly wrote,

Taking to X, Chrispymate updated his viewers with news about the lightning strike. In a post, he wrote,

“Ya boi just got struck by lightning on stream!! Will update if I get superpowers”

When someone in the comments hilariously suggested that he might become Flash, the streamer wrote,

“id rather get the Infamous game powers but ill take the flash”

As per Dexerto, Chrispymate took to Reddit to explain to viewers what happened during the storm. He wrote,

“A large bottom lightning struck outside my windows and my vision turned white entirely then I felt a strong jolt of electricity go through my headphones into my head and I bolted away lol it was a pretty wild catch on stream”

He also responded to netizens that he did not face any issues with his computer system or his router. Netizens also urged him to get a health checkup at an ER.
