Magnum P.I. cast members are celebrating after NBC picked up the drama for two additional seasons, one month after it was canceled by CBS. The cast took to social media to share the news and thanked fans for pushing for a series renewal.

"It was a bit circuitous, but we did it!" tweeted Jay Hernandez, who plays former Navy SEAL and private investigator Thomas Magnum. "Your love & support helped get us over the finish line, thank you & thanks to NBC for stepping up!"

Stephen Hill, who plays pilot T.C., tweeted, "Aloha nui loa a hui hou," which translates to "I love you so much." He posted a longer note on his Instagram story, saying he is "so thankful to work with THESE folks on THIS show and to create THE BEST FANS we could ever ask for!"

Other Magnum P.I. cast members also cheered on the news, including Perdita Weeks, Tim Kang, and Zachary Knighton.

NBC rescued Magnum P.I. late Thursday, giving it a 20-episode, two-season order, with an option for more. After airing for four seasons on CBS, the series was canceled on May 12, and Universal Television quickly began looking for a new home.

According to Deadline, cast members are in the process of finalizing deals to return, as are showrunners Eric Guggenheim, Justin Lin, John Davis, and John Fox.
