HBO is developing a Game of Thrones sequel series centered on Jon Snow, The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Thursday night. Kit Harington is in talks to reprise his role as Snow in the new drama series, which is currently in the early stages.

In the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow discovered his real name is Aegon Targaryen, making him a potential heir to the Iron Throne. He was exiled from Westeros and traveled North of the Wall with the Wildlings, leaving his past behind.

Currently, there are seven Game of Thrones projects in the works, including the prequel series House of the Dragon, which premieres August 21. Other live-action prequels in development are 10,000 Ships (a.k.a. Nymeria), 9 Voyages (a.k.a. The Sea Snake), and Dunk and Egg. There are also three Game of Thrones animated prequel projects in development.

All seasons of Game of Thrones are currently streaming on HBO Max.
