Dr. Patrick Drake is a fictional character on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. The character was introduced in 2005 by Jason Thompson. Patrick is the son of Noah Drake, who was also an exceptional surgeon at the GH. The character of Patrick Drake has been at the center of several story arcs mainly because of his selfless acts of service at his work. One of the major surgeries Patrick performed was on April Gilbert, who was diagnosed with AIDS. However, even after knowing the situation, he performed a life-saving surgery on the patient. 

Apart from Patrick’s professional setup, the character has also been involved in a few romantic entanglements. Upon his arrival, he formed a close bond with Robin Scorpio. The two get close, and Robin shares that she is pregnant. After facing several ups and downs, the two finally got together and got married; however, she went into labor during the ceremony, and the two welcomed their daughter Emma Scorpio Drake. 

However, it is further discovered that Robin has been diagnosed with postpartum depression. This made it hard for her to form a connection with her daughter Emma.
