Pop superstar Lady Gaga kicked off her highly anticipated Mayhem Ball tour on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

As videos from the performance began circulating online, fans were surprised by Gaga's encore act. It saw the songstress stripped off of her elaborate costumes, wearing a Cramps t-shirt with shorts and a black beanie to sing How Bad Do You Want Me.

Seeing clips of the encore performance, netizens mistook Gaga for Billie Eilish. One commented:

Internet users continued to draw comparisons with Eilish.

"Why is Billie Eilish singing a Taylor Swift song at a Lady Gaga concert," one quipped.
"The Billie Eilish cosplay is wild," another chimed in.
"Thought this was Billie Eilish," a user added.

Others praised the look and Lady Gaga's performance.

"she looks so cute changing to a casual look," one commented.
"this just further proves how she is an equally immaculate performer with or without glamorous outfits and props," another noted.
"Y is she dressed like Jesse Pinkman," a fan quipped.

Gaga announced her eighth concert tour, The Mayhem Ball, in March

Lady Gaga dropped her latest studio album, Mayhem, in March 2025. It featured a blend of multiple genres and was preceded by the singles Disease and Abracadabra.

It also included Gaga and Bruno Mars' duet, Die with a Smile. The project was met with critical and commercial success, debuting atop charts in 23 countries.

Gaga announced her eighth concert tour, The Mayhem Ball, in support of the album in an Instagram post shared in March 2025.

The tour commenced on Wednesday and will run through January 2026, concluding in Tokyo, Japan.

At the time, Lady Gaga revealed she initially did not plan to tour this year outside of her shows in Singapore in May (and her headlining act at Coachella).

However, the success of the album made her reconsider. Notably, this is her first tour with shows in North America and Europe since the Chromatica Ball tour in 2022.

According to critic Steven J. Horowitz of Variety, the almost 2-hour concert was divided into four acts, which touched several key moments from her decades-long career.

Meanwhile, Billboard's Joe Lynch described the show as:

"A theatrical, electric and delicious live affair, offering fans charged performances of Mayhem’s best songs (some of which are among her all-time best) and previous dance classics that inhabit the same sonic and thematic universe."

The set list included songs from Mayhem like Garden of Eden and Killah as well as her beloved hits like Poker Face, Born This Way, and Million Reasons.

The show saw Lady Gaga don elaborate costumes, weaving a visual narrative that explored themes like life and death, good and evil, chaos, identity, excess, and more.

She sang Perfect Celebrity from inside a sandbox surrounded by skeletons that came to life during her rendition of Disease. Killah saw the songstress don a black, Gothicesque ensemble. Elsewhere, she wore a white dress with long branch-like fingers.

During the encore, she stripped off the excess and pretenses, returning to the stage in a beanie and a t-shirt, a version of herself when no one is looking, before concluding the show.

Lady Gaga has shows scheduled at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise this Friday and Saturday, followed by shows in San Francisco next week.
