Steven Crowder uploaded a tweet on September 11, in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, on Wednesday. The tweet consisted of an image of an email, which Crowder claimed was sent by an ATF official to his team. Crowder claimed that the screenshot involved information related to the bullet cartridges found near the shooting scene.

Crowder then cited what was apparently written on the email sent to his team. It is suggested that the suspected gunman fired the shot from an elevated position on a rooftop of an adjacent building on the University campus. It further claimed that surveillance footage captured the suspect fleeing the scene on foot. At one point, the email read,

"The spent cartridge was still chambered in addition to three unspent rounds at the top fed magazine. All cartridges have engraved wording on them, expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology."

The email further suggested that the weapon and ammunition had been taken away by the FBI for further investigation, including studying fingerprint impressions as well as DNA analysis. The email, apparently by the ATF officer, concluded by stating,

"The primary suspect is yet to be identified. ATF is assisting the investigation with multiple other federal, state, and local partners and the case is co-led by the FBI and Utah SBI."

Despite the claims by Steven Crowder, the ATF has not yet confirmed that the email was sent by them.

Authorities are yet to arrest a suspect in connection to Charlie Kirk's assassination

As of writing, the authorities could not determined a suspected gunman linked to the assassination of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday. However, the FBI had dropped a few details about the suspect. According to the federal agency, the suspect possessed a high-powered rifle, which he possibly used to assassinate Kirk.

Officials have also claimed that the suspect was possibly of the same age as a college-going kid. According to the BBC, officials added that he fled into the neighborhood after the shooting happened and chaos started in the area. The FBI claimed that they had solid surveillance footage capturing the suspect but they couldn't identify him yet. The footage has not been revealed to the public as of now.

The outlet added that investigating officers had found "footwear impression... and a forearm imprint" around the place where they discovered the weapon. The tragic incident had shocked the community in Utah and also people across the nation, including some notable figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Brien McElhatten, a Utah news presenter, told ABC4 that Kirk was likely to be "well-received" in the university, since it is located in a "conservative county in a very conservative state." McElhatten further said,

"This is a country unfortunately that is very familiar with shootings like this - and very familiar now with political candidates and political commentators being in the crosshairs."

Meanwhile, netizens have flooded social media platforms with condolences and tributes to Charlie Kirk and his family. Many shared this point of view that violence couldn't be supported just because someone had a different political inclination. The case is an ongoing investigation.
