“For more than a decade (since at least the day Derek Jeter ripped up his ankle after selling a condo in a Trump building) Trump has firmly believed he has magical powers to cause harm to those who don't worship him. We may survive this messiah complex. But maybe not…Our evil, mentally ill president, celebrates the murder of Rob Reiner. He - and all who enable him - will eventually go to hell. I pity them all.”

With Keith Olbermann’s reaction to Donald Trump's post about Rob Reiner and his wife’s deaths going viral on social media, netizens are bringing up the former ESPN star’s response after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University in September.
In particular, netizens are slamming Olbermann for maintaining double standards as at the time, his response was characterized as being insensitive. A few days after Kirk passed away, late night host Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended after Kimmel gave a monologue on the late conservative activist. As per Fox News, Olbermann responded to Sinclair Broadcast Group, which made the announcement of Kimmel’s show’s suspension, and wrote on X,

“Keith Olbermann should be institutionalized.”
Another netizen compared Olbermann’s two responses and added,
