Why has Dan Rivera’s death attracted so much speculation?

There is an important reason, or rather coincidence surrounding Dan Rivera’s death that has attracted the attention of netizens and enthusiasts of paranormal activity. It pertains to the fact that Rivera, who was one of the lead investigators for an organization named the New England Society for Psychic Research, passed away while he was leading a tour of an allegedly possessed doll made famous by Hollywood named Annabelle.

According to a report by People Magazine, the founders of  New England Society for Psychic Research, Ed and Lorraine Warren, had enclosed the supposedly possessed doll in a glass box a few decades ago. Ed and Lorraine Warren had attained the doll from a nurse who complained of the doll’s paranormal effects after she had brought it to her room.

This particular doll became the main attraction for the ‘Devils on the Run’ Tour, a paranormal exhibition launched by the New England Society for Psychic Research. The exhibition travelled across the U.S., and at the time of Dan Rivera’s death, the supposedly possessed doll was being exhibited at Gettysburg.

Rivera’s organization, while confirming his death, shared information about his passion for paranormal research. The statement released by the organization on Facebook read,

“Dan truly believed in sharing his experiences and educating people on the paranormal. His kindness and passion touched everyone who knew him. Thank you for your support and kind thoughts during this difficult time.”

As per People Magazine, the tour popularized by Rivera through social media platforms is supposed to travel to a few more places across the U.S. As per the publication, ticket sales for the tour are still continuing.
