House of the Dragon's Season 1 finale has reportedly leaked online.

According to IGN, the Game of Thrones spinoff has become the victim of a leak, much like its predecessor. How the finale leaked online is not yet known, but early streams of the episode have seemingly made their way online. The finale, titled "The Black Queen", is set to air this Sunday on HBO. The episode will see the battle for the Iron Throne escalate following last week's shocking coup.

HBO has had their fair share of issues with leaks over the years, most notably in 2017 when hackers broke into HBO's network servers to leak unaired Game of Thrones episodes and scripts. 1.5 terabytes of data were reportedly stolen from the servers, and the hackers demanded some $6 million in Bitcoin from HBO executives to prevent them from releasing the episodes.

As of Friday afternoon, spoilers for the House of the Dragon finale had already begun making their way around Twitter. Users took to warning fans to mute show-related terms to protect themselves from having the episode ruined, while others lamented that they'd already been exposed to pivotal plot points. "You have been warned," one user wrote. "If I see one more House of the Dragon leak on the TL I'm gonna lose it," complained another.

"We are aware that the tenth episode of House of the Dragon has been posted on illegal torrent sites," said an HBO spokesperson. "It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA region. HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet. We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K."

House of the Dragon has been renewed for a second season, though plot details and any new casting have not been announced yet. Barring any last-minute schedule changes from HBO, the House of the Dragon Season 1 finale is set to air on HBO this Sunday at 9PM. It will also stream on HBO Max.
