Love Island USA season 7 has officially become Peacock’s most-watched original series to date, according to internal data released by NBCUniversal and reported by The Hollywood Reporter on July 25, 2025.
Over its six-week run, the season racked up a total of 18.4 billion minutes of viewing time, equivalent to about 306.67 million hours, across all devices, including TVs, phones, and tablets.
The show aired throughout June and early July 2025, and its finale week (July 7–13) ranked No. 1 among all streaming titles in the Nielsen streaming charts, according to Peacock.
While Nielsen’s publicly available data is limited to TV-set viewing, it still showed strong numbers for the series, with 5.11 billion minutes logged between June 2 and June 29 alone.
Nearly 30 percent of the total viewership came from mobile devices, and more than half the viewers were adults under 35, according to Nielsen demographics. Peacock also noted that 49 percent of this season’s audience were new viewers to the franchise.
In addition to driving record-breaking viewership, Love Island USA season 7 also gave a boost to its spinoff series, Beyond the Villa, which had the largest unscripted premiere on the platform to date.
NBCUniversal’s internal data revealed that Love Island USA season 7 pulled in 18.4 billion minutes of watch time, a figure that includes viewing across phones, tablets, and TVs.
Peacock shared that about 30 percent of this total came from mobile devices. This detail may reflect the younger demographic tuning in, as Nielsen data showed that over 50 percent of viewers were under 35 years old.
Nearly half of the season’s viewers, 49 percent, were watching Love Island USA for the first time. This indicates a surge of new interest in the franchise, likely helped by the show’s wide digital reach.
Peacock highlighted the strong social media engagement, citing 1.7 billion video views and impressions on TikTok alone across official accounts and the #LoveIslandUSA hashtag.
Other platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X contributed an additional 2.2 billion impressions.
The network’s strategy to engage viewers beyond the broadcast seems to have paid off. A spokesperson noted that the cross-platform presence “played a key role in drawing new audiences and boosting engagement throughout the season.”
In addition, Love Island USA consistently ranked well in Nielsen’s streaming reports. From June 2–29, the show recorded 5.11 billion minutes of TV-set viewing alone, with viewership growing each week.
Peacock reported that the final week of the season (July 7–13) placed it at the top of all streaming titles.
The success of Love Island USA season 7 also positively impacted its companion series Beyond the Villa, which launched during the same viewing window.
Peacock stated that Beyond the Villa had the biggest premiere audience of any unscripted title in the platform’s history. Though exact numbers were not disclosed, the performance reflects the continued momentum of the main series.
The format of Beyond the Villa includes post-show content with dumped Islanders, unseen moments, and exclusive interviews. It serves as a bridge between episodes and a way to keep fans invested after key eliminations.
By aligning its release schedule closely with the main show’s high points, the spinoff attracted a portion of the same large viewer base.
The show’s popularity on social media also contributed to the spinoff’s reach. With more than 3.9 billion combined impressions across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, viewers were encouraged to follow the story even after main episodes ended.
Love Island USA has gradually grown in performance over the years, but this season stands out as the biggest yet, both for the show and for Peacock’s original programming slate.
