Fans of rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs celebrate the musician's acquittal by drenching each other in baby oil outside court. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the musician's bombshell trial came to a conclusion after he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was acquitted of the more serious charges related to s*x trafficking and racketeering.

Videos taken outside the Manhattan federal courthouse circulating online on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, show elated supporters jumping and dancing. Notably, some covered themselves in baby oil, a controversial item that was a huge part of the trial.

The clip shows a woman dancing and jumping as she removes her blue wig. Meanwhile, a man drizzled baby oil on her chest as she kept chanting, "I want the baby oil!" Another shirtless man can be heard yelling, "More oil!" as someone pours the liquid onto his body.

In March 2024, federal officials recovered 1,000 bottles of baby oil from Diddy's properties in Miami and Los Angeles

Diddy's trial saw baby oil being mentioned several times. In March 2024, federal officials raided the rapper's properties in Miami and Los Angeles. There, they recovered more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil, among other paraphernalia.

In Combs' indictment, prosecutors claimed that these were used during his days-long, drug-fueled "freak off" parties involving his girlfriends and male escorts. These alleged parties saw "elaborate and produced s*x performances" for the benefit of the rapper and his guests.

During her testimony, Cassie Ventura, who dated Diddy between 2007 and 2018, claimed baby oil was frequently used during the freak-offs. She noted that Diddy wanted it "heated" and "glistening." She alleged that she once entered a pool filled with the said moisturizer upon Combs' request.

In a separate instance, Sylvia Oken, an employee at the Beverly Hills Hotel, testified about a $500 "oil damage" charge levied during one of Diddy's stays at the hotel. Prosecutors claimed the room had been booked for one of the rapper's aforementioned orgies. Oken also told jurors about a $300 charge to clean drapes that were "soiled beyond what is normal."

During their opening statements for the trial, Combs' legal counsel asserted that their client was sometimes jealous and violent, but the alleged victims participated willingly in the acts. They noted that physical abuse and the use of baby oil were not federal crimes. Citing Teny Geragos, an attorney working for the Bad Boy Records founder, E! News wrote:

"We will not shy away from the things he did, but we will not own the things he did not do," adding "He is physical, he is a drug user, you may know of his love of baby oil. Is that a federal crime? No!"

The rapper had been arrested last September and charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Two subsequent revisions to his indictment added a count each of s*x trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to NBC News, after being acquitted of the more serious counts, Diddy was seen on his knees, praying. Meanwhile, the It’s All About the Benjamins hitmaker's family, too, rejoiced, reported the outlet. Per USA Today, the rapper animatedly clasped his hands together and raised them in prayer toward the jury.

The prostitution-related charges that Diddy was found guilty of could see the rapper go to prison for a long time. Each count carries a maximum jail time of 10 years, making it a possible 20-year sentence. Further, the rapper would remain behind bars until sentencing.
