Big Brother season 27 returned with its first live eviction on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The episode followed the fallout from Head of Household Vince’s nominations and the unexpected impact of the veto twist. While the week began with Vince planning to target Keanu, the situation quickly shifted, placing Zae, Amy, and Kelley on the block.

Jimmy's earlier attempts to get Keanu evicted backfired, causing tension in the house. Keanu confronted him about the rumors, and Jimmy denied everything.

Meanwhile, Zae worked to form a new alliance with Rylie, Zach, Vince, and Will, calling themselves the “Burger Boys.” On the other hand, Kelley volunteered to go up as a pawn, hoping to help Vince’s game.

Zae campaigned hard but clashed with Rachel, stating that her chances of winning again were over as long as he remained.

In the end, Zae was evicted by a vote of 9-0, becoming the first houseguest to leave the Big Brother 27 house.

Jimmy’s plan unravels and new alliances take shape in Big Brother 27

After the Veto meeting in Big Brother, Keanu confronted Jimmy about the circulating rumor that Jimmy had been targeting him. Jimmy denied the claims, even though it was true he had pushed for Keanu’s eviction earlier.

Meanwhile, Vince found himself stuck between his loyalty to Keanu and the chaos created by Jimmy’s move.

Zae, sensing that his position was at risk, tried to create a new alliance with Rylie, Zach, Will, and Vince. He suggested the group be named “Burger Boys,” pointing out that it had five members — a nod to the fast-food chain.

This group looked promising on the surface, but it remained unclear if it would hold up through eviction night.

Elsewhere, Kelley told the house she “thought she could do something cool” by volunteering as a pawn. Vince agreed to the plan, hoping it would shield him from appearing biased, but the move created more tension in the house.

Rachel, closely aligned with Amy, made it clear she wanted Zae out, especially after he told her that her chances of winning a second season were slim. Zae warned,

“As long as I’m in this house, there’s no way you win two seasons.”

His words triggered Rachel and cemented her stance against him.

Kelley wins safety as Zae and Amy face the final vote in Big Brother

The episode’s BB Blockbuster competition required the players to unscramble four words that formed a phrase.

That phrase pointed them to a specific item in the room, and whoever found it first and pressed the buzzer would be safe from eviction.

Kelley figured out that the answer was “crown” and rushed to grab it. She buzzed in just in time and became the first BB Blockbuster winner of the season.

With Kelley safe, the final nominees were Zae and Amy in Big Brother. During the lead-up to the vote, both tried to sway the house in their favor. Amy focused on Zae being a bigger threat both mentally and physically.

In her speech, she warned that he had the potential to dominate competitions.

Zae, however, argued that Amy was giving Rachel a second vote, which could help Rachel reach the Final 5.

He pointed out how close Amy and Rachel were, suggesting keeping Amy would strengthen Rachel’s grip on the game.

Ultimately, the house made its decision. One by one, the houseguests cast their votes in the Diary Room, referring to Julie Chen Moonves as “Auntie Julie” in their messages.

When the votes were tallied, Zae was evicted by a unanimous vote of 9-0. His exit wrapped up the first eviction of Big Brother season 27 and set the stage for the shifting alliances to come.
