The Trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin Introduces Michelle Yeoh's Formidable Scían

The prequel debuts on Netflix in December.

    Set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher, the prequel series will explore the birth of the first Witcher and the events that lead to the Conjunction of the Spheres.

    Yeoh stars as Scían, who is the last of her nomadic tribe of sword-elves. Her skills with a blade are unmatched, and when she gets the opportunity to retrieve a sacred sword that has been stolen, she seizes it. The quest she embarks on will change the outcome of the Continent forever.

    The series also stars Minnie Driver, Laurence O’Fuarain, Sophia Brown, Mirren Mack, Lenny Henry, Jacob Collins Levy, Lizzie Annis, Huw Novelli, Francesca Mills, Amy Murray, Nathaniel Curtis, Zach Wyatt, Dylan Moran, and Joey Batey. Declan de Barra serves as executive producer and showrunner. The prequel is based on the novels that inspired the hit videogame franchise. 

    The Witcher: Blood Origin debuts on Netflix December 25.
