WATCH: June Prepares for War in The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 Trailer

Hulu's dystopian drama returns September 14.
  • "I killed him. And I loved it so much."

It's safe to say June (Elisabeth Moss) has no regrets about leading an army of women to murder Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) in The Handmaid's Tale's Season 4 finale. The Season 5 trailer for Hulu's award-winning dystopian drama sees our leading lady revel in her violent acts, much to the horror of her loved ones. June needs Fred's widow Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) to know that she was the one responsible for Waterford's death - and that she took pleasure in it. This only pushes Serena to her own quest for revenge.

June's best friend Moira (Samira Wiley) and husband Luke (O-T Fagbenle) try to talk sense into June, but there's no use. She's only getting started on her quest to take down Gilead and hopefully finally rescue her daughter Hannah. War with Serena is only like a bonus to her at this point. Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd), meanwhile, continues to keep her young handmaids in line while Gilead seemingly burns around them (though it's unlikely June will stand for this much longer).

"I pray for our children," says June. "May they live a life without all of this hate. Dear God... may they do better than we did."
