“That's Kash Patel in there isn't it?”: Internet reacts to viral video of furry at Berkeley TPUSA event holding “Abolish ICE” sign

A crowd of demonstrators protested against a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at the University of California, Berkeley on Monday, November 10. 

Jack Posobiec, an alt-right political activist, shared multiple clips shot near the campus to share his criticism. In multiple tweets, he pointed out the presence of a furry at the anti-TPUSA demonstration. 

In a separate post, Posobiec shared a clip of the person wearing an anthropomorphic animal fursuit and yelling anti-fascism and anti-Trump slogans. The person was holding an “Abolish ICE” sign, which Jack noted in his tweet that read: 

“NEW Footage of Antifa Furry at Berkeley TPUSA event tonight holding ‘Abolish ICE’ sign. This is another in a line of far-left furry activity to include a march in Portland and the lover of Charlie Kirk’s accused murderer.” 

The clip garnered a plethora of reactions from the X users. A user jokingly claimed that it was the FBI director in a furry costume: 

“That's Kash Patel in there isn't it?”

Another user joked about Tyler Robinson’s roommate, Lance Twiggs, and wrote: 

“Are Lance Twiggs’ current whereabouts accounted for?” 

In September, after Robinson was apprehended in connection with Charlie Kirk’s assassination, many on social media described his roommate as a furry. The comment mentioned above referenced the viral claim about Twiggs’ identity.

Internet users react to a furry holding an “Abolish ICE” sign to protest the Berkeley TPUSA event

Jack Posobiec has recently tweeted multiple times targeting the furries. In a post, he criticized the furry community after some of its members were spotted at an Antifa protest in Portland. Posobiec raised his concerns in a tweet: 

“Been going down the furry rabbithole all day
It's crazy what they post online and X just allows all of it 
Most of the stuff I won't even repost, it's just too disgusting and most of which is extreme s*xual content, both physical and animated”

Later, Posobiec also posted a clip of a furry demonstrator holding an “Abolish ICE” sign and protesting against TPUSA. Here’s how some X users reacted to the clip filmed at the UC Berkeley campus: 

“That's no resistance, that's entertainment for ICE. 😂” a user wrote. 

“Shouldn’t they be chasing cars and humping stranger’s legs? They are not very good at staying in character. Disappointing,” another user joked. 

“The little weirdos who can't cope in normal society are angry at people who can?? 🧐,” one user posted. 

“‘Fury activity’? God, I miss Steve Irwin! His dialog on the streets would be gold,” another user noted.

On Monday afternoon, another clip from the event went viral on X, capturing a bloody fight between a protester and a Trump supporter. @FrontlinesTPUSA shared the full video, recorded by TPUSA contributor Savanah Hernandez (@Savsays). 

In the clip, the police officers are seen detaining both and taking them away. According to Fox News, the confrontation occurred around 4:30 pm PST, resulting in one of them being visibly injured, with blood running down his face.
