A TPUSA event at UC Berkeley turned chaotic after a brawl broke out when protestors were demonstrating near the gathering. On Monday, they gathered on Bancroft Way before the event started. Protestors wore keffiyes and chanted, "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA." The Daily Californian reported that at least three individuals were arrested as well.

The outlet reported that one was detained while trying to cross the barrier in front of Zellerbach Hall. Meanwhile, the other two were taken into custody after they got involved in a physical altercation. A lot of other chants like "antisemite, go the f*** home," "F--- you, fascist," and "chinga la migra" could be heard during the commotion.

Berkeleyside reported that the demonstration particularly turned violent when a clash happened between protestors and a man selling Kirk memorial "Freedom" t-shirts. Fox News Digital even obtained a video from the scene in which two people were involved in a physical scuffle.

In a statement given to The Independent, by Dan Mogulof, assistant vice chancellor for communications and public affairs at UC Berkeley,

"Two individuals were arrested for fighting outside campus. They were arrested for battery by the City of Berkeley Police Department."

Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk's chief of staff, Mikey McCoy, believed that the protestors were related to Antifa. McCoy tweeted that the protestors were "breaking through police barricades." For the unversed, the event was a part of TPUSA's American Comeback tour that Kirk started around the time of his death at Utah Valley University.

The TPUSA event featured well-known personalities like Rob Schneider and Christian author Frank Turek

According to reports by The Guardian, famous personalities like Rob Schneider and Frank Turek became a part of the event on Monday. After the protests began, Schneider took to X and wrote,

"Thank YOU, Antifa for welcoming us tonight at UC Berkeley. We Look forward to our thoughtful, teargas free discussion and debate. 👇👇🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸."

When the protests broke out, along with constant chants, the protestors were seen carrying Palestinian flags. Sophie Mason, a freshman, shared what she witnessed during the altercation. She spoke to the outlet and said that she came by the protests after class. She also revealed that the situation had become "talk of the town." Sophie Mason then continued,

"There was a lot of tension. People were worried."

The Guardian reported that even two hours after the event began, the protestors did not stop chanting the slogans. The outlet further added that a number of officers were positioned in a way to block a throughway to the building. Some of the officers reportedly even had body-mounted cameras.

Earlier on Monday, law enforcement officials detained four individuals, accusing them of vandalism. The Daily Californian reported that the arrested people were trying to hang a large cardboard bug on a gate before the event began. While the Monday event turned chaotic and violent, it was completely sold out in the beginning.

The Guardian reported that the protests were mostly peaceful but had a few tense and violent moments.
