If the return of the cult comedy Party Down next week has you investigating options for how to stream Starz, this news ought to be of interest. Starz announced today that it will be partnering with Amazon to offer Starz in a bundle with MGM+ on Prime Video. This would give U.S.-based Prime Video subscribers a chance to add on a Starz/MGM+bundle for $11.99 a month.

This new incentive to add Starz to your Prime Video channels comes days before the revived Party Down premieres its third season on February 24th (even more incentive: the new season is hilarious). On its own, the Starz add-on for Prime Video runs at $8.99 a month, with MGM+ an additional $5.99. The new combined bundle will offer subscribers a 20% savings. So besides the Party Down revival, what do you get?

Starz has been ramping up its original series offerings for a while. This spring will see new seasons of the time-travel romance Outlander, the crime drama Power Book II: Ghost, Yvette Lee Bowser’s Run the World, and the acclaimed Blindspotting. Other series that have been renewed for upcoming seasons include the massive critical hit P-Valley, the period drama The Serpent Queen, and the horror comedy Shining Vale.

Less familiar is what MGM+ is offering, probably because up until last fall it was called Epix. While its Batman-adjacent series Pennyworth moved to HBO Max, the current jewel in its original-programming crown is crime drama Godfather of Harlem, starring Forest Whitaker. The horror series Chapelwaite, starring Adrien Brody and Emily Hampsire and based on Stephen King's Salem's Lot, is set to return with a second season hopefully this year. Sci-fi/horror series From is set to premiere its second season in April. The 2020 limited series/historical drama Belgravia, based on the novel by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, will also be getting a follow-up limited series, Belgravia: The Next Chapter.

MGM+ offers the most when it comes to its film library, though. A quick browse through its catalog on Prime Video offers 2022 movies like the Oscar-nominated, billion-dollar-earning Top Gun: Maverick and creepy horror hits like Smile and Orphan: First Kill. MGM being one of the most long-standing brands in Hollywood, it's no surprise that their streaming service offers a ton of classic movies, including Some Like It Hot, The Apartment, In the Heat of the Night, and The Manchurian Candidate. Of course, the brand that MGM is most prominently associated with these days is James Bond, and an MGM+ subscription will get you access to the Bond catalog for all your 007 needs.

The Starz/MGM+ bundle will launch in the coming weeks and will be available through Prime Video's "Channels" feature.
