The Perry Mason Season 2 Teaser Plunges Our Hero Into a New Mystery

The reboot's second installment premieres on HBO in March.
  • Perry Mason is back on the case.

The first trailer for the second season of HBO's reboot sees Della (Juliet Rylance) and Paul (Chris Chaulk) urging Perry (Matthew Rhys) to solve another mystery. "There's power in the truth," Della says. "This is my responsibility! All of it!" Perry exclaims, while glimpses of the high-stakes case ahead flash on screen.

Per the official synopsis, the second season picks up three months after the events of Season 1, as "the scion of a powerful oil family is brutally murdered. When the DA goes to the city's Hoovervilles to pinpoint the most obvious of suspects, Perry, Della, and Paul find themselves at the center of a case that will uncover far reaching conspiracies and force them to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty."

Rhys returns as the titular Mason, joined by a stacked ensemble including Rylance, Chaulk, Shea Whigham, Eric Lange, Justin Kirk, Diarra Kilpatrick, Katherine Waterston, Hope Davis, Fabrizio Guido, Peter Mendoza, Mark O’Brien, Paul Raci, Jen Tullock, Jon Chaffin, Onahoua Rodriguez, Jee Young Han, Sean Astin, Tommy Dewey, and Wallace Langham.

Based on the book series of the same name, Perry Mason's first TV adaptation ran from 1957-1966 on CBS and starred Raymond Burr.

Perry Mason Season 1 is streaming on HBO Max. Season 2 premieres on HBO March 6, 2023.
