Matthew Fox Plays a Chemist Searching for His Family in Last Light Teaser

The new Peacock series marks Fox's first acting role since 2015.
  • Matthew Fox (Lost) is making his return to acting in Last Light, a new, five-episode limited series on Peacock, based on the novel by Alex Scarrow, which tells the story of a family fighting to survive during the fallout of an oil crisis.

The new teaser features Fox playing petro-chemist Andy, who knows how dependent the world is on oil. While on a business trip to the Middle East, he realizes something is wrong with the world's oil supply, as society begins to devolve into chaos. Andy's teenage daughter is alone in London, while his wife and his young, disabled son are in Paris. The family will stop at nothing to reunite, as Andy also tries to solve the crisis and make a greener world.

Last Light also stars Joanne Froggatt, Alyth Ross, Taylor Fay, Amber Rose Revah, Victor Alli, Tom Wlaschiha, and Hakeem Jomah. All episodes are directed by Dennie Gordon.

All five episodes of Last Light will drop September 8 on Peacock.
