Mandy Moore to Star in Dr. Death Season 2

The multi-hyphenate will star opposite Edgar Ramirez in the Peacock anthology series.

    Mandy Moore has joined the cast of Dr. Death Season 2. 

    The award-winning actress, most recently seen in This Is Us, will star opposite previously-announced lead Edgar Ramirez in the Peacock anthology series. Moore is set to play investigative journalist Benita Alexander, who gets swept up into a whirlwind romance with renowned surgeon Paolo Macchiarini (Ramirez) only to discover there's a lot more to him than meets the eye. 

    Ashley Michel Hoban is set to showrun, write, and executive produce this season, while Season 1 showrunner Patrick Macmanus will executive produce this time around. Jennifer Morrison and Laura Belsey will serve as directors. 

    Based on the hit Wondery podcast of the same nameDr. Death Season 1 told the story of disgraced neurosurgeon Christopher Duntsch (Joshua Jackson), who was responsible for the deaths or maiming of some 33 patients over the course of his career. The season also starred Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin, Grace Gummer, and AnnaSophia Robb. 

    Dr. Death Season 1 is currently streaming on Peacock.
