The Teaser for Harry & Meghan Offers an Unprecedented Look at the Royal Couple

"No one sees what's happening behind closed doors."
  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sharing their story with the world.

In the first teaser for docuseries Harry & Meghan, the royal couple's lives are captured in black and white photography as the couple posits that "no one sees what's happening behind closed doors."

"I had to do everything I could to protect my family," says Harry. "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?" Meghan asks. The six-episode "series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution."

Helmed by Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?Bobby Fischer Against the World), the docuseries will also include "commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press."

Harry & Meghan was originally slated for a December release, but was pushed back after The Crown was widely criticized by sources close to the royal family. The teaser reveals that the series is "coming soon".

A premiere date for Harry & Meghan has not been announced yet.
