JunJia, 23, is a renowned professional League of Legends star. Also famously identified as Yu Chun-chia, the player debuted in March 2020 with Edward Gaming (EDG) in the League of Pro Legends' Spring tournament.

In his first professional game, he battled against famous personalities such as Meiko and Scout, according to Escorenews.com. Over the years, he has played top-tier League of Legends tournaments and established his name as one of this generation's burgeoning stars.

Interestingly, he seemed to have found his call after following a divine blessing and keeping his faith in a higher power.

A look at JunJia's spiritual beliefs and his road to success

The Taiwanese star held impressive experiences in his past tournaments. However, he was uncertain of going pro until a magical incident. Even after his previous games, he was unsure of choosing a particular path between pursuing his regular studies and devoting himself to his upcoming pro career. While he was confused between these choices, his grandmother rescued him from the dilemma.

According to a Dexerto report, she took her grandson to a local Taoist temple for a prediction session from Xuanwu. They visited the temple to seek knowledge and of the future ad advice from the significant deity in Taoism.

As the outlet further confirmed, a Poe divination method was conducted for JunJia to make the right decision. According to EPFL, the ritual is a sacred process allowing the diviner to drop two pieces of wood on the floor. The step is followed to understand the results and determine the actual answer between the options based on how the pieces land on the ground.

Today, we know the prominence of JunJia and his sheer ability to excel in games. However, the divine secret to reaching the pinnacle of his career, apart from hard work and dedication, is not known by many.

Earlier this month, the pro player talked with Home Run Taiwan and reflected on his journey and present mindset. Dexerto confirmed that Vivian, a fan, translated the conversation.

JunJia looked back on his confusion and the blissful solution and explained:

"We talked for a long time. [My family] was hesitant. Then my grandma went to a local temple and asked Xuanwu, a Taoist deity, if I could pursue this career path – the god said yes, so I went for it."

He admitted feeling stressed about his performances, adding,

"I don’t think I have a lot more in me, in terms of how long I’ll be able to stay a pro player. I want to go all out with no regrets, but I can’t stop thinking about how to return to my peak performance a few years ago."
