Netflix’s three-part documentary, Amy Bradley Is Missing, explores the case of a woman who went missing from the Rhapsody of the Seas, operated by Royal Caribbean International. Before she vanished in 1998, the 23-year-old was last seen with Alister “Yellow” Douglas, a member of the Blue Orchid band on the cruise ship.

Amy Lynn Bradley’s whereabouts are still unknown, even more than 27 years after her disappearance. While theories of human trafficking or falling overboard were explored by investigative agencies, Alister “Yellow” Douglas was treated as a suspect. Eventually, he was cleared of any wrongdoing by the FBI.

According to true crime investigator James Renner, Douglas is an exorcist now. Renner, who interviewed Yellow in September 2024, revealed that he also runs a church in Grenada and serves as its reverend. James stated in his YouTube video that he flew down to the Caribbean island country to have a chat with Alister “Yellow” Douglas.

For the unversed, Chris Fenwick, a videographer, filmed inside the cruise liner’s nightclub in 1998, which also seemingly captured one of Bradley’s last on-camera moments. She was seen dancing with Alister “Yellow” Douglas in a compilation uploaded by Fenwick on YouTube. In the recent Netflix documentary, a witness named Lori Thompson claimed that she saw Amy with Alister shortly before her disappearance.

Alister “Yellow” Douglas voluntarily underwent a polygraph test after Amy Bradley went missing

After the 23-year-old vanished from the Royal Caribbean International cruise liner, the bassist was the primary suspect. According to Netflix, Alister “Yellow” Douglas was questioned by FBI agents, and he voluntarily underwent a polygraph test. Following the initial investigations, Douglas’ name was cleared—something he also told James Renner in September 2024.

An FBI agent said in his interview for the Netflix documentary,

“He admitted that he knew who Amy was. He admitted that he had flirted with her. He said, you know, ‘I did that and that’s kind of what I do.’ That he’s kind of a flirt, and he would, you know, get flirtatious with many of the female passengers. But anything to do with her disappearance, no, he vehemently denied.”

According to the Bradley family, Amy was sitting in a chair on the balcony of their cabin during the early hours of the day she went missing. Her father, Ron, recollected during his interview in the Netflix documentary,

“I remember waking somewhere around 5:30 in the morning. Brad had come in and gone to bed, but I didn’t see Amy in there. So, I made sure that Amy was okay, and I saw her legs and her feet, sitting in a lounge chair on the balcony. So, I said, ‘Well, she’s safe.’”

Ron Bradley recalled that Amy’s cigarette packet was missing. At the same time, the top she wore the previous night was lying in the cabin. Ron revealed that he thought his daughter had woken up, changed, and went out. Bradley didn’t wake his son and wife and tried to look for Amy himself.

However, the 23-year-old vanished and was never found again, sparking investigations and multiple theories behind her disappearance. Alister “Yellow” Douglas, who was never charged, became a subject of online discussions. He claimed during his interview with James Renner that the case impacted his career. Yellow said,

“I have lost…there were contracts on other ships that people wanted me to come for a couple of months. Good paying for a few months that once my name was entered, they know…they would say that I had something to do with this missing girl and I lost. I lost the contracts and I struggled for a long time.”

    He added,

“But I’m good. I’ve set up my little business.”

Douglas revealed that he and his wife have received many hateful comments on social media over the years. He also claimed that his daughter, Amica, called him in 2024 questioning him about the case. Yellow told Renner that he suspected that someone else was listening to their phone call. He mentioned having a fallout with his daughter over the case.

For those unaware, Amica Douglas’ interview was also featured in Amy Bradley Is Missing. Coincidentally, she called her father on camera and had the same conversation he previously mentioned.
