Tekashi 6ix9ine would reportedly plead guilty to two counts of drug violations, which are unlawful possession of MDMA and cocaine. The InnerCity Press announced the news on July 3, 2025, on its social media account.
For the unversed, on March 12, 2025, the rapper's Florida home was raided by federal agents and police. Hernandez told TMZ that he was put in handcuffs for six hours while the narcotics squad seized his guns and drugs. They also took DNA samples to confirm if the items belonged to the Brooklyn rapper.

At the time, Tekashi told the media outlet that he was innocent and did not commit any criminal activity during his house arrest. The authorities told TMZ that the raid was part of a probation check, and they would check whether the seized items belonged to the rapper or not.
Previously, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested on November 18, 2018, along with his former manager, Kifano Jordan, and his associates. The rapper was facing up to 47 years in prison for racketeering and firearms charges.
Tekashi pleaded guilty to the charges and decided to cooperate with the authorities; this led to the arrest of multiple members of the Nine Trey Gangsters. In December 2019, the Judge gave the rapper a lenient sentence of two years.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tekashi 6ix9ine was released in April 2020 and was in home confinement. In August 2020, his confinement ended; however, he has been under five years of supervised release since then.
According to The Latin Times' August 29, 2024, report, in an Instagram Live, Diamond La Mafia accused the rapper of allegedly assaulting him, some of his production crew, and Tekashi 6ix9ine's then-girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, on October 12, 2023.
The musician claimed the Brooklyn rapper was reportedly jealous and attacked him for having a good bond with Yailin. As per the media outlet, Tekashi was arrested in Sánchez, Dominican Republic, three days after the musician's live stream. 6ix9ine was released after paying $10,000 bail.
The Judge ordered the rapper to stay in the Dominican Republic. Notably, Tekashi returned to the US in June 2024. The Dominican authorities then put the artist on an international arrest warrant. Although it is unclear what happened to the arrest warrant afterwards, Tekashi continued to travel internationally.
On October 29, 2024, Tekashi was arrested in New York after an arrest warrant was issued against him by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
According to ABC's report dated October 29, 2024, the rapper allegedly violated the conditions of his supervised release. It was not mentioned exactly which conditions he violated. In a statement to the press, Tekashi 6ix9ine's lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, stated that he was confident his client would be free and the violations would be "dismissed."
"We are confident that each specification will be dismissed," the lawyer stated.
In other news, Tekashi 6ix9ine's last album, Blackballed, was released on January 12, 2024. It is uncertain when his next project will be released.
