US President Donald Trump became the target of a heated rant from Elmo, the furry red Muppet character from the popular children's TV series Sesame Street, after the latter's official X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked.
On the evening of Sunday, June 13, 2025, things took a shocking turn for netizens when the red monster's X account began spewing hate against Jews in anti-semitic tweets. It is believed that Elmo's X account hacker posted a total of six tweets, which have since been deleted.
A deleted post from the hacked account demanded that US President Donald Trump release the Jeffrey Epstein files. The now-deleted post read:
"Release the files @realDonaldTrump child f**ker."

Another deleted post from Elmo's hacked X account read: "K*ll all Jews." A few minutes before this anti-semitic post, the account claimed that someone named Henry Mussen, a friend from Western Australia, James Isaac Parvana, and a person with the X handle @waddles_eth hacked accounts and engaged in similar activities. Whether or not the claim is true remains unverified as of this writing.
Another anti-semitic post was tweeted, which also accused President Trump of being "Netanyahu's puppet" because he was in the Epstein files.
"Elmo says all Jews should die. F**k Jews. Donald Trump is Netanyahu's puppet because he is in the Epstein files. Jews control the world and need to be exterminated," the deleted post said.
Upon police investigation in 2005, it was found that Jeffrey Epstein, a well-known financier, was guilty of child s*x abuse. This discovery left the world in shock, as while he was convicted, several other powerful people were known to have been guests at his parties on his private island in the Virgin Islands.
The infamous Epstein files are believed to have incriminating evidence against those guests, including President Trump. During the 2024 electoral campaigns, President Trump had claimed that he would release the Epstein files if he were elected to office. Since his inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Trump has not released those files.
On July 7, 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi circulated a memo that stated that the investigation of the Epstein files revealed "no incriminating 'client list'". The memo said:
"There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties."
On July 13, 2025—the same day Elmo’s account was hacked—President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to address mounting criticism of Attorney General Pam Bondi and the growing public demand for the release of the Epstein files. He wrote:
"They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again."
President Trump also asked why former President Joe Biden had not released those files if Trump's name was really there. He also claimed that the Democrats had allegedly created the files.
