Big Brother UK returned with a new episode on October 19, 2025, which saw Zelah and Feyisola discuss Sam and their flexibility with pronouns.
During a private chat about gender and s*xuality, Zelah asked Feyisola if Sam being comfortable with all pronouns used for them was their way of pleasing people.
Feyisola replied with, “Probably,” saying she felt society had compelled Sam to make themself “palatable” to others.
According to her, they were fine with being associated with all pronouns because it was a way of making other people feel comfortable.
Meanwhile, Sam, who was “fake evicted,” listened to their conversation from the secret room, surprised by what they thought of them.
Sam is a 27-year-old Zumba instructor from Skipton, who signed up for the ITV show, saying they were “full of surprises.”
They identify as a non-binary person who was fluid with all pronouns.
In earlier episodes, Sam was seen discussing trans youth rights and other LGBTQ+ issues with their co-stars, hoping to dissolve misconceptions and raise awareness.
However, in the latest Big Brother UK episode, Sam found themself in a tough spot when their way of handling their identity was described as a people-pleasing tool.
In one segment of the episode, Zelah sat down with Feyisola to ask her about her s*xuality, wondering if she put a label on herself.
The Big Brother UK star said she did not since she dated both men and women. However, she added that her energy was drawn toward both non-binary and trans people as well.
“My identity’s been something I’ve questioned for years. Yeah, like, meeting people who are, like, strong in their identity is something that I just really gravitate towards,” Feyisola mentioned.
Upon hearing that, Zelah raised the question about Sam’s fluidity with pronouns.
Sam, who had been listening to their conversation from the secret room, was caught off guard by their chat.
While they admitted that it might be a people-pleasing trait without them “realizing it,” Sam clarified that they did not mind.
The Big Brother UK star noted that they would rather have people feel more comfortable and call them what they want, than put them in a difficult spot.
“I’m just Sam. It’s my personality first and the gender second, you know?” Sam told Emily.
In another segment of the episode, Farida and Sam spoke about Nancy, with Farida opining that Nancy gave “mean girls vibes.”
Sam, who was friends with her, asked Farida if maintaining a friendship with Nancy would put them in a bad position.
Farida responded in the affirmative, compelling Sam to reconsider their relationships.
“If you align yourself with the wrong person, you’ve … It’s just the way it is. You’ve already had the experience where you nearly got chopped on the head and that’s because of the person that you’re aligning yourself to,” Farida explained.
While speaking to themself in the mirror, Sam stressed on the importance of being given a second chance.
They encouraged themself to make the most out of the experience and not get swayed too much.
Later in the Big Brother UK episode, Jenny was called to the Diary Room, where she opined that Nancy was “cheeky” and had a “wild b**ch face.”
As a result, Jenny often wondered why Nancy never laughed or if she was angry all the time.
Stay tuned for more updates.
