Below Deck season 12 episode 6, titled Yacht-Chella, aired on July 7, 2025, and featured rising tensions among the crew as they dealt with disrespectful charter guests and evolving team dynamics. Following Caio’s exit, a new bosun, Hugo Ortega, arrived to stabilise the deck team.
Meanwhile, Fraser Olender found himself overwhelmed while planning an elaborate Carnivale-themed party for a new group of guests. Among them was Jason, whose behaviour drew frustration from the crew. During a tense moment at lunch, after being repeatedly spoken to rudely, Fraser turned away and said in a talking head,
“Jason is so pleasant,” he said.
He further added sarcastically that the guests were “rude, classless, and obnoxious.” As the episode progressed, the crew faced both personal and professional challenges.
Solène’s romantic involvement with Jess deepened, leaving Kyle upset. Fraser also struggled to finalise party arrangements on time, especially when he discovered there had been no setup at the dock just hours before the event.
During the crew’s night off in Below Deck, Solène shared that she didn’t feel the same way about Kyle as he did about her. She told the other stews in the van that she wasn’t as interested in Kyle as he was in her and said she planned to talk to him soon.
As the group enjoyed their evening, Solène and Jess had a private moment in the bathroom where they kissed. Later, they kissed again on the dance floor, and most of the crew cheered them on—except Kyle, who stayed quiet and watched.
That night, Jess went to sleep in Solène’s bunk, while Kyle stayed alone, clearly upset. The next morning, Solène told Bárbara that she hadn’t slept with Kyle and thought he was jealous after seeing her with Jess. She said that she didn’t care about how he felt.
Jess also spoke with Damo and said she and Solène had only cuddled in Below Deck. Meanwhile, Kyle thought about his past choices and said in a private moment. He said he had a poor picker as he tried to understand what went wrong.
With a new group of guests onboard, Fraser was tasked with organising a 1995-themed Carnivale dock party. The guests—strip club owners—requested a high-energy experience complete with a DJ, live band, and dancers. Fraser secured a $20,000 budget and quickly contacted a local event planner. He texted that he wanted a live band, Carnivale dancers and a DJ.
Fraser later got a short message confirming the event plans, which made him feel a bit more at ease. But the next morning, his mood changed when he reached the dock and saw that nothing had been set up yet. With time running out, he began to feel the pressure.
Meanwhile, problems with the guests started right away in Below Deck. One of them, Jason, seemed annoyed as soon as they arrived. He asked why the crew was still standing around and also questioned why the welcome drinks weren’t ready. Captain Kerry stepped in to calm things down and told Fraser he would handle it if things got worse.
As the trip went on, chef Anthony also felt the tension. Jason gave negative comments about his food, and in a confessional, Anthony reacted by flipping him off. Fraser, clearly frustrated, later drew devil horns on Jason and another guest in their preference sheet. Still, he stayed focused on getting the Carnivale party ready, knowing it had to go well to keep the rest of the charter on track.
