Anika Robertson steps up as a leader with the chef’s guidance on Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service

Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service aired episode 8 on July 16, 2025, continuing the story of Callahan’s Seafood Bar & Grill in a two-part special. After walking away from the struggling restaurant in the last episode, Gordon Ramsay returned after getting a message from an insider. This time, he came back ready to push the family to take control of the situation.

The episode mainly focused on Anika Robertson, who had taken over the restaurant from her late father. She had a hard time leading the business and getting respect from the staff. With help from Ramsay, Anika started to take charge as the owner. She learned how to give clear instructions, make decisions, and bring her team together, including her twin sisters, Elise and Brittany.

During the episode, Ramsay called out problems in both the management and the kitchen. He pointed out poor hygiene, lack of teamwork, and emotional distance. He reminded them how important it was to talk to each other and take responsibility for their roles in the restaurant, saying,

“Stand together. You're not even united as sisters for goodness' sake.”

By the end, Anika showed clear progress, taking charge during the restaurant relaunch. Encouraged by Ramsay through an earpiece, she ran the kitchen service while her sisters supported her in front of house. The transformation was noted not only by Ramsay but also by customers and a secret guest diner.

This episode of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service opened with Gordon still reeling from the state of Callahan’s in part one. After walking away, he received a message from the insider asking him to return. Though initially reluctant, Ramsay came back, saying the insider had been “begging” him. Upon arrival, he warned the team about the gravity of the situation:

“There is so much toxicity inside.”

Ramsay began by confronting the kitchen team. He told them to “get a grip” and criticized their poor food practices, including serving defrosted protein and allowing grease to build up dangerously. He accused them of disrespecting the sisters and questioned,

“Are you taking advantage of three vulnerable women?”

He also had a private talk with Anika, who admitted that no one listened to her and that she felt alone in managing the restaurant. Ramsay reminded her that she needed to lead with authority. “It’s a business,” he told her, urging her to take control.

Later, at Baker Park, Ramsay mediated a conversation between the sisters. Elise admitted feeling left out when their father chose Anika to inherit the business. Ramsay stressed the value of unity and tasked them with building a bench to honor their late father, a gesture that helped them reconnect and work together.

Anika takes charge during Callahan’s relaunch

As the Callahan sisters started working together, Gordon Ramsay and his team helped improve the restaurant’s look, menu, and equipment. He introduced a simpler menu and recommended crab cakes and fish and chips as signature dishes. During the relaunch, Anika wore an earpiece so Ramsay could guide her from behind the scenes.

Anika entered the kitchen with more confidence, gave clear instructions, and stayed calm under pressure. Things got stressful when Chef Sammi Tarantino, a Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 finalist, came in as a secret diner and ordered seven dishes at once. Although Anika was briefly overwhelmed, she leaned on her sisters and handled the service well.

Customers praised the food and service, showing that things had improved. Gordon Ramsay later brought in the sisters’ mother to see the changes. He also placed a bench outside that they built in memory of their father.

After the episode, the team thanked Gordon Ramsay online for his “invaluable leadership.” They wrote,
