Australian TV Hosts Lose It Over NSFW Double Entendre

  • Australian morning show Today went off the rails this week when host Allison Langdon unintentionally dropped a sexual double entendre during a segment about lawn care. Langdon lamented that her "couch is dying," a reference to the common species of couch grass, but her Australian accent changed the sound of the word, sending her co-host Karl Stefanovic and their guests into a fit of giggles.

"I don't understand what's going on with my co-host," said Langdon, as Stefanovic rolled around on the couch (a different kind of couch) next to her. "Save the couch!"

"That's probably the best segment ever," said Stefanovic, after Langdon concluded the interview. "We'll have more great stuff after this break — if we're still on-air."
