The Yellowjackets Get to Have Some Fun For a Change on Celebrity Family Feud

The Yellowjackets have been through so much: death, cannibalism, dramatic monologues. Even when the adult and teen versions of the characters are allowed to experience a little joy on the show, it’s short lived — for every lighthearted musical moment, there’s a scene of extreme devastation. But that doesn’t mean the series’s actors need to carry that gloom and doom with them in real life. Thanks to Celebrity Family Feud, they’re able to get together for some harmless fun.

Team Adult Yellowjackets — Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Melanie Lynskey, Lauren Ambrose, and Warren Kole — takes on Team Teen Yellowjackets — Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Nelisse, Courtney Eaton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and series creator Ashley Lyle — all competing to raise money for GLAAD. The match offers a rare chance for a crossover between the show’s two timelines, allowing some of the actors to look their younger selves right in the eye before attempting to beat them to the buzzer.

Or, in the case of Cypress and Brown, show off some loosely choreographed, Kid ’n Play-like dance moves. If this clip doesn’t inspire some double-Taissa dream sequences in future seasons of Yellowjackets, we don’t know what will.

Each team is led by their very own Misty, a fitting parallel to the series. And just because Celebrity Family Feud isn’t as dark and twisted as Yellowjackets, it doesn’t mean that we don’t have burning questions about the episode. Will Ricci and Hanratty channel that Quigley energy and do whatever it takes to win? Is Steve Harvey a die-hard fan of the series? Whose ridiculous answer to one of the polls will go viral? (It’s gonna be Jeff — er, Kole — right?)

We’ll have to watch to find out the answers, but at least we know for sure that no one will die during game play (fingers crossed).
