At a moving charity gathering dedicated to her friend's son, Meghan Markle was visibly emotional tears welling up as she stood shoulder‑to‑shoulder, with friends and supporters to honor his life. The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the event, which was hosted by her longtime confidante Kelly Zajfen, who had organized the tribute in memory of her son George, gone at nine years old in 2022 after battling complications, from COVID‑19 and viral meningitis.
Captured on video a poignant moment showed Zajfen speaking directly to Markle and Prince Harry voicing thanks, for their backing of the tournament and their dedication, to nurturing youth and children in need.
Recently, Meghan Markle was present at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament with her good friend Kelly Zajfen and expressed her unbreakable support of the children causes and foster children. At the event, Kelly was complimentary of Markle and how she was dedicated, she describes Markle as an inspiration and she uses her voice to inspire families and young people in need, this is what drew Markle tears. Kelly wrote:
"... I'm always in awe of your ability to show up for others, for this cause, and for our family. Thank you for holding Georgie in your hearts and helping us carry his light forward."
The former Suits star provided some insights into the day on Instagram, including touching moments with the Zajfen family, as she continues to do her part to benefit others after the death of her son, Kelly, Georgie. Markle has been involved in numerous charitable activities, including charity parties or fundraising activities such as accommodating foster children over the years, which has not only placed her as a well-recognized celebrity, but as a true friend and advocate.
