Queer as Folk Trailer Offers a First Look at Peacock's Reimagining

The reboot follows a diverse group of friends whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.
  • The trailer for Queer as Folk teases what's to come in Peacock's updated take on the LGBTQ+ drama. Released Wednesday, the trailer introduces a host of vibrant characters, as well as guest stars Kim Cattrall and Juliette Lewis.

Much like Russell T. Davies' original series, the "reimagining" of Queer as Folk follows a group of LGBTQ+ characters — played by Devin Way, Fin Argus, Jesse James Keitel, and Ryan O'Connell — through their joys, struggles, and personal relationships. The new series takes place in New Orleans and explores how the community rebuilds after a nightclub tragedy inspired by the Pulse shooting.

Peacock's Queer as Folk trailer also reveals Kim Cattrall as Brenda, a martini-soaked, high society southern debutant with trailer park roots, and Juliette Lewis as Judy, a single mom who is more of a friend than a parent to her teenager.

Queer as Folk premieres June 9 on Peacock.
