The cast and crew of Justified: City Primeval faced yet another dangerous situation this week after an "incendiary device" was lit and thrown onto the Chicago set, per a local report.

Justified: City Primeval was shooting at a Chicago location on Monday night when the device was thrown toward the set by an unknown person. Luckily, the device did not explode and there were no injuries, according to local police. The incident is currently being investigated, but there is no one in custody at the moment.

The event comes just weeks after production on the FX series was halted when two cars engaged in gunfire drove through the set's barricades. No one was injured in that incident, including star Timothy Olyphant, who was present at the time.

Following the shooting incident in July, production for Justified: City Primeval beefed up security. FX chairman John Landgraf recently spoke about the shooting, calling it a "traumatic experience" for the cast and crew. "A lot was done to take a break and make sure everyone was okay, and we [increased] security," he said.

Primetimer reached out to FX for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Justified: City Primeval is slated to premiere in 2023.

Justified is available to stream on Hulu.
