Gossip Girl released a short teaser on Wednesday giving fans of the original series something to look forward to: the possible return of fan-favorite villain Georgina Sparks.

A video posted on the series' Instagram and Twitter accounts suggests Michelle Trachtenberg will be reprising her role as the OG baddie in the second season of the HBO Max reboot.

The grainy video, which warns, "It only takes one spark to light a fire," shows a brunette sitting alone in the balcony of a theater clapping. The woman looks suspiciously like Trachtenberg, leading fans to believe that Georgina will finally be returning to the franchise.

The caption for the video reads, "And I have a feeling that this city is about to burn." Georgina, who terrorized the Upper East Siders on the original Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012, was well-known for creating disasters and never ending drama.

A cameo from Georgina makes sense, as the reboot featured her son, Milo (Azhy Robertson), in its first season.

Showrunner Joshua Safran further hinted at Georgina's return in a Wednesday tweet. Replying to a fan's question about who the messiest character will be in Season 2, Safran wrote, "How do you define messy? Fun on purpose messy or destruction messy? Same answer, I guess - see the post from GG today."

Season 1 of Gossip Girl is available on HBO Max.
