After rock icon Ozzy Osbourne's death on July 22, 2025, his fans began asking Chipotle to name a burrito after him. Osbourne, famous for leading Black Sabbath, also loved Chipotle. He often talked about the brand on his family's TV show, The Osbournes. The request showed up on Change.org right after news of his death broke. It got popular, with over 7,000 people signing it.
“In the days following his death, countless Ozzy fans took to social media to share photos of Chipotle burritos they ordered and ate in his honor,” petition starter Lauryn Schaffner wrote. “Chipotle should create a signature burrito called ‘The Ozzy’ to celebrate his immense love for the food chain."
Fans want Chipotle to make a burrito called "The Ozzy" to remember his link to the brand. People noticed Ozzy's love for the restaurant chain in 2003.

Ozzy was widely known for his strong fondness for Chipotle burritos. In The Osbournes' second season, sixth episode, he called himself "The Burrito Man" and said he ate Chipotle burritos twice every day. A clip from that episode has come back and blown up on TikTok, getting more than 330,000 views. Chipotle showed its appreciation for Osbourne's clear backing by giving him the company's first Celebrity Card in 2003. This card lets holders get one meal at no cost each day and offers a catering perk for groups of up to 50 people.
Chipotle confirmed the issuance of this inaugural card, citing his praise during the reality show as a key reason. After that, other famous people got similar cards, such as Diplo, Tony Hawk, and Olivia Rodrigo. Chipotle has now started to give these cards to some fans and regular customers, too. To honor the musician who passed away, fans are posting pictures and videos of themselves eating Chipotle burritos on social media.
These posts often mention Osbourne's favorite episodes and things he said, which makes more people want to sign the petition. No one has confirmed what Osbourne ordered at Chipotle, but people think he liked burritos with white rice, pinto beans, barbacoa, sour cream, cheese, and medium salsa.
Lauryn Schaffner, who started the petition, wants to work with people who knew Osbourne well to find out what he ordered.
Osbourne's funeral procession took place on July 30 in Birmingham, England, his birthplace. Crowds of fans lined up the streets to show their respect. He died days after he last performed in the Black Sabbath goodbye show on July 5. So far, Chipotle hasn't commented on the request or the idea of a tribute burrito.
The campaign continues to attract attention as fans look for meaningful ways to remember the rock icon and his connection to one of his favorite food chains.
