Eiza Gonzalez is setting the record straight about those Daredevil rumors.

The actress, who was recently seen in Ambulance and I Care A Lot, took to Twitter to address speculation that she'd been cast in upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. Gonzalez had received hate from Marvel fans upset about a Latina actress potentially portraying a Greek character. "I feel like I'm just gonna get it out of the way because, One, I'm confused as for the amount of hate over this, and two, I feel like it saves people energy," Gonzalez wrote.

"No, I'm not cast as Elektra in Daredevil. I have already an on-going series exclusivity contract to 3 Body Problem. You're welcome," she continued. "I'd appreciate if I could live free of negative ill-intended messages about me playing/stealing? a role that I don’t even know about. Thank you and wishing you all the best."

Gonzalez is currently starring in Netflix's The Three-Body Problem, the highly-anticipated sci-fi adaptation from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. While she is not set to star in any Marvel projects at this time, the actress did express interest in such opportunities in the future. "Hopefully I'll get to play a cool superhero at one point of my career," she wrote.

A premiere date for The Three-Body Problem has not been announced yet. Daredevil: Born Again will debut sometime in 2024.
