Father-son duo Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. will soon play father and son in an untitled CBS sitcom.

The series, co-written by the elder Wayans and Last Man Standing vet Kevin Hench, will tell the story of successful talk radio host "Poppa" (Wayans), who helps his adult son (Wayans Jr.) grow up and get his life together before he turns 40.

Wayans, whose iconic sketch series In Living Color earned him three Emmy nominations, made his mark on network comedy with My Wife and Kids from 2001-2005 and recently starred in Fox's Leathal Weapon series. My Wife and Kids also saw Wayans Jr. make his TV debut in a major recurring role, and he has since gone on to star in several successful TV comedies, including Happy Endings and New Girl

The Wayans pair first dipped their toes into playing father and son on-screen during an episode of Wayans Jr.'s short-lived sitcom Happy Together in 2018.
