Bob Geldof criticized the President Trump, JD Vance, and Elon Musk at the Live Aid mark date show. He said the world they show would not let a time like Live Aid be again.

The Boomtown Rats frontman spoke out, clearly upset with top leaders like the US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Tesla owner Elon Musk. He called them "thugs" and said their actions stir up trouble and self-serving behavior which is opposite to the generous vibe that made Live Aid happen.

Back in the day, this huge charity show pulled together many stars and loads of fans, gathering around 18,86,94,100.00 United States Dollar over almost 40 years for famine help in Ethiopia.

Today, Geldof feels that this same big wave of good will would be lost under waves of online anger, split-up politics, and a drop in trust in us all doing good together.

He finds this sad, especially now when digital means could link more folks than ever to help a cause, if only there was a true want to unite and act.

Geldof points to Trump and others as symbols of a lost spirit of unity

Geldof said that looking back at those wild days made him feel upset and really sad. He made a clear split between the lively young people and culture of 1985 and now.

Geldof named people like Trump, J.D. Vance, and Elon Musk as signs of what he sees as a sad drop in care and unity among people.

He thought about the many calls he gets to set up a new Live Aid for Palestine, given how often Israel hits Gaza, killing so many and making the global court want to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu for using hunger as a weapon.

For Geldof, pop music once was the core of society, a common beat of right and wrong that showed people who they were and what they might be.

Now, he said sadly, the shared bond once made by culture has broken down in the loud rush of social media. It has taken away the huge power of big shows to bring people together for a clear, simple goal.

When asked what could stop the pain in Palestine, his direct reply went through the claps and talks: at its base, the only true fix is to "just stop killing people." He said:

"The end to Palestine, my answer always is, what is the two-state solution. The end to Palestine is to just f***ing stop killing people."

    He continued saying:

"That the society that was, as exemplified by the younger people and the cast in 1985, has been almost reproduced with those thugs like Trump, and Vance and Musk and this new death of kindness… I'm constantly asked why not do a Live Aid for Palestine and stop the horror… Pop music back then was the spine of society, defined what we could articulate, what we were and where we should go. That's been sublimated by social media these days, so a concert wouldn't work. But the point about a concert is that you need to posit an end that's achievable."
