Black Mirror Casts Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Zazie Beetz, and More for Season 6

Josh Hartnett, Zazie Beetz, and Aaron Paul (Photos: Everett Collection)Black Mirror is making some big casting moves for Season 6. Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Zazie Beetz, Kate Mara, Paapa Essiedu, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton, and Anjana Vasan are slated to star in the upcoming season of the sci-fi anthology, Variety reported on Wednesday.
The sixth season of the popular dystopian Netflix show will include more episodes than Season 5, which only had three episodes, though the final episode count has not yet been revealed. The newly-announced cast will star in the first three episodes of the season, with more actors joining for later episodes.
Details about Black Mirror Season 6 are being kept under wraps, but like previous iterations, each episode will serve as a standalone story featuring a new kind of dystopian reality.
The most recent season of Black Mirror aired in June 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. When asked about a sixth season in 2020, creator Charlie Brooker told the UK’s Radio Times magazine, "At the moment, I don't know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I'm not working away on one of those."
Black Mirror is currently streaming on Netflix.
