Alexander Skarsgård, 48, walked down a memory lane into his childhood and recalled fun memories of his father, Stellan Skarsgård, 73, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The veteran actor was not fond of wearing clothes at his home. His eldest son revealed this weird anecdote in response to being asked whether his dad embarrassed him during his younger days.

Alexander Skarsgård replied to host Stephen Colbert, recounting his teen years and sharing,

"Not so much as a child — as a teenager a bit more. Well, he wasn't a fan of clothes."

Alexander Skarsgård opened up about his father's embarrassing activities at home

Born in 1976, Alexander is Stellan's eldest child. He welcomed his son with his first wife, My Skarsgård. The Andor actor also had two more sons, Gustaf Skarsgård and Sam Skarsgård, with My.

During his conversation on the late-night talk show on CBS, Alexander spoke about Stellan featuring in one of the recent episodes and hysterically added,

"I noticed that he was wearing clothes when he was on your show. That made me very proud."

Hearing his response, Stephen Colbert further asked out of curiosity,

"What do you mean he wasn't a fan of clothes?"

    Alexander Skarsgård revealed,

"He wouldn't wear clothes at home really."

The actor also admitted that Stellan roaming around without clothes turned out to be a problem when guests came over to their home, Entertainment Weekly reported. Once the Big Little Lies actor began inviting friends to his place, finding his father naked was an embarrassing encounter.

While discussing his younger days, Alexander further added that he saw Stellan

"Dancing salsa naked on his own while I brought friends over."

    He also chimed in,

"As a kid, it didn't really bother me. When I was a teenager, I wanted to have a normal family."

It seemed host Colbert was quite surprised to hear the actor's hilarious admission as he enquired,

"Are Swedes very free with their bodies?"

While speaking more about the surprising confession, Alexander Skarsgård answered,

    "Definitely not. Very puritanical."

Wanting to know more about Stellan, the host later asked,

"Does he ever explain to you why [he does that]?"

    The actor simply replied, stating,

"You had him on the show last week. You should've asked."

Stephen Colbert was unaware of Stellan's habit of dancing naked in her home. Reflecting on not knowing this disclosure, he clarified,

"I did not know he danced naked."

He also chimed in funnily, mentioning that the episode featuring Stellan "would've just been 12 minutes of that if I knew that he danced naked."
