John Oliver responds to his 2018 Meghan Markle comments going viral in wake of Oprah with Meghan and Harry

The Last Week Tonight host told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he found Oprah Winfrey's special to be "amazing." Last week, Oliver's 2018 comments to Stephen Colbert that Markle would end up fleeing the Royal family went viral. "I didn't find any of it surprising," Oliver said of the Oprah interview. "That is kind of what I felt like, sadly, her experience was going to be going in." He said he drew this conclusion from simply observing the royal family from a distance while he was growing up and "they seem like flawed people.
