“It actually wasn’t. Sorry,” the rapper said at an appearance Tuesday at Columbia University in footage obtained by TMZ, when asked if them sitting was "meant to convey a signal." Jay-Z said when Demi Lovato came out to sing the National Anthem, "we’re talking about how beautiful she looks and how she sounds, and what she’s gone through in her life for her to be on the stage and we’re so proud of her."
