Danbury, Connecticut mayor will accept John Oliver's $55,000 donation to name the sewer plant after him on one condition

“We do have one very specific condition. You must come here to Danbury and be physically present when we cut the ribbon,” Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said in a Facebook video posted Sunday. Boughton agreed to accept the offer after saying the city would name the sewage plant after the Last Week Tonight host, but later said it was a joke. However, Oliver liked the idea and offered to donate $55,000 to charity if the sewage plant naming became a reality.
