Bobby Bones exits American Idol after four seasons

Bones revealed on Instagram that he won't return as the in-house mentor on Season 20 because "my contract (with) my new network won’t let me do another show right now." Bones wouldn't divulge details about his new show, writing that “the network hasn’t even announced the show yet. So I’m going to chill for a bit. But it’s a really good show.”
